UFC on Fox 8: Rory MacDonald on Jake Ellenberger and Trash Talk

Jake Ellenberger has used some insult comedy via Twitter to take shots at his opponent at UFC on Fox 8 to try and draw some interest to the fight, himself, and get some creative juices flowing leading up to their bout. Despite having insults hurled his way Rory MacDonald has taken the high road and doesn't bring emotion into the equation. It's a lesson he learned from his first high profile UFC fight where he was winning against Carlos Condit, only to gas out and run out of steam in the third round and be TKO'd with just a half dozen seconds remaining. MacDonald came in amped up to be fighting in his hometown area of Vancouver, Canada that night and that excessive enthusiasm and emotion depleted his energy. He learned from that and since has tossed emotions out of the context of competition.
