Frank Shamrock on the immense respect between mixed martial arts fighters:
There's a lot of respect amongst our sport and amongst everyone that does it, and that respect is usually shown at the end of the fight...And the strange thing is if you've ever been in a fight when you were a kid at school, all the guys I got in a fight with turned out to be my best friends, because we went through something together, we experienced something together that we never ever experience unless we had that confrontation. A lot of the guys grow very close in this sport...It's a tough, brutal sport, you're out there risking a lot, besides your manhood: your body, everything else, you're out there risking it and everybody respects that.
