Every irritation is an opportunity to take a breath
Every irritation is an opportunity to take a breath and get back into the present moment. There might be hundreds of things that provoke irritation inside of you. This rises up in you unconsciously. But if you can consciously take a deep breath after each time this happens, it's powerful. The rage and anger is unconscious, but the breath is a conscious one, which makes it immensely more powerful.
