The cream of the crop in mixed martial arts resides in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, but there are still some fighters who the UFC should dish out some dough for and sign onto their roster. Here are five fighters that the UFC should bring into the fold.
1. Eddie Alvarez
Eddie Alvarez is not just an amazing fighter with a tremendous record, but his style of fighting is one that UFC fans would love. He's a talented boxer, has an agressive and fast paced style of attack, and goes hard for the full 15 or 25 minutes of scheduled action.
2. Michael Chandler
Michael Chandler is a man who defeated Eddie Alvarez to become the Bellator lightweight champion. A rematch with Alvarez would be tremendous, and also interesting to see how he would do in the UFC. The WEC elite have shown that they are more than capable of handling themselves in the UFC as the champion and number one contender are fighting for the belt next at lightweight (Ben Henderson and Anthony Pettis). StrikeForce fighters have done amazing as well in the organization. We want to see how the best of Bellator do in the UFC cage.
3. Cristian "Cyborg" Santos
A fight between Cyborg and Ronda Rousey would be outstanding. They are the two most dominant female fighters in the sport and don't like one another. It'd be a very marketable and interesting fight.
4. Shinya Aoki
If the ground game is fast, creative, and exciting, people are interested in watching it. Shinya Aoki brings all these elements to the game and is one of the greatest fighters the nation of Japan has ever produced. A lot of interesting matchups for Aoki at 155 in the UFC.
5. Gina Carano
A longshot to get her back into MMA, but stranger things have happened. If Gina Carano gets tired of acting in Hollywood and bring herself back into the cage where it's impossible to fake anything, she would definitely be a colossal star in the UFC's bantamweight women's weight class. If a fight with Ronda Rousey ever happened down the line it would be a colossal money fight.
