Good intentions of success versus revenge

Revenge is said to be sweet and can be a motivator for success. But if we believe that we can be successful without that negative state of mind and muster up motivation from a more positive perspective, that's more empowering and healthy in the long run. If you are motivated by anger and hatred and revenge, when you reach your goal and destination, you will not be a pleasant person. You will have made it to your promised land, but what you become in the process might not be someone who you want to look in the mirror. If you take a more positive approach and believe you can achieve your goal from a more happy and health and positive mindset, then it makes sense to go about it from that angle. Because you have to live with the person you become through success and the more intelligent approach is to turn yourself into a positive individual as opposed to the opposed. That way you can actually enjoy your destination when you arrive.

"What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals."
- Henry David Thoreau
