Tim Means was addicted to drugs and found himself in prison, but decided he didn't like the way he was living his life and turned it around. He would work his way into fighting the UFC. He decided in prison he was going to turn his life around:
I got addicted to drugs and I was in prison for a while...I'd become a pretty crappy person, my word wasn't very good, I'd seen who I'd become, so sat down, thought about it for a long time looking out my window through the fence and I knew I wanted to be a better person and do something with my life.
